Sophomore from New Bern, NC // Intended Mathematics & Computer Science Double Major 

¡Hola! I’m super excited to be volunteering with SiDES this semester. I have enjoyed learning Spanish so much but I wish I had started when I was in elementary school as opposed to high school, which is why I think SiDES is such an awesome program. Outside of class, I am a Chidsey Leadership Fellow, a Small Group Leader for the youth group at Davidson College Presbyterian Church, the vice-moderator of Ukirk (the PC(USA) group on campus), a Computer Science homework grader, and a Resident Advisor (RA). I also participate in many activities through the Chaplain’s Office at Davidson. My favorite hobby is playing the piano–my senior year of high school I played a 90-minute program (15 pieces and over 35 pages of memorized music) in front of a judge and received my Guild High School Diploma from the National Guild of Piano Teachers. Anyway, I love learning (especially Spanish), so I’m looking forward to helping others learn!
